To create an estimate of Early Retirement Incentive (ERI) plan cost, select the ERI Estimates button on the main menu.

In order to obtain an ERI cost estimate, the SSN must be of an employee who is currently active with your entity. Enter the following:

• SSN of the employee
• Expected retirement effective date
• ERI plan years being purchased in whole numbers 1 through 5

Once the data is entered, click the Calculate button to obtain the estimate. If the employee is not eligible for an ERI plan, you will receive an error stating "Member is not eligible for an ERI." This can include one or more of the following reasons:

• Employee is not active
• Employee is active under the law enforcement division
• Employee would not be retirement eligible by the retirement effective date entered

If the member meets the eligibility criteria, the estimate of the cost will be returned.
